About Lydia Starczewski
Lydia is an Associate Attorney at Otte & Czajkowska, LLC. She concentrates her legal practice in all areas of elder law, including estate planning, long term care planning, probate estate and trust administration and litigation, as well as adult and minor guardianship.
Prior to joining the firm, Lydia worked at a respectable law firm in Chicago where she first developed her appreciation for elder and disability law. Lydia’s passion for helping others, coupled with her knowledge in the field and her analytical skills, allow her to be a zealous advocate for her clients, and provide them with individualized support based on their unique needs.
Lydia graduated from DePaul University College of Law. While at DePaul, Lydia spent three years interning at a private elder law firm and was awarded a CALI Excellence Award for receiving the highest grade in her adoption law course. Prior to law school, Lydia received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.
Lydia is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, where she is a member of the elder and disability law committee and the probate practice committee. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and its Illinois Chapter, as well as a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
Lydia is one of the firm’s bilingual speakers and is fluent in Polish. She was born and raised on the north side of Chicago with her parents and her sister, and currently lives in the city with her new puppy, Edie. Lydia enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, exploring restaurants and markets in town, and traveling.
